First of all, Honda got cheap on dome omissions to the vehicle. I’d like to know why can’t buyers in the United States get the options the Canadian vehicles have. Heated steering wheel is a biggie. Like northern tier states don’t get as cold as lower Canadian provinces? Panoramic roof is another. Then on the U.S. vehicles, there is the lack of a seat pocket on the back of the drivers seat. The fake leather steering wheel cover lacks class, feels weird and is strangely noisy when sliding the wheel in your hand. I gotta see if I can treat it with something. The center armrest will not lock in a fixed position, it slides up and back effortlessly......annoying. Need a light in the glove box. Needs to have a real horn and not the road runner horn. Front seats lack in comfort and passenger seat should have the same adjustments as the drivers seat. Infotainment system is too complicated and I think that most used audio controls should be separate from the rest of the mess. Substandard tires, should be Michelin. These issues cost my CR-V one star. Now for the good stuff. Great looks, and drivability. Basically, everything is fantastic! I love to drive this SUV. It’s quiet, peppy and the CVT is growing on me. This thing is fantastic on the road. On the highway, the technology is great. The ACC is great but a little slow getting back up to speed. There is a service bulletin addressing this that I have yet to have done. The collision mitigation system has already saved my bacon once. Rain sensing wipers, auto high beam headlights, hands free tailgate, walk off door locks and I could go on and on from here, are great. You get a spare tire and jack too. That is becoming rare even in Honda’s. Who in their right mind would head across the country without a spare tire and jack??????? I guess I’m old school. My dealership has sold me four Honda’s and I’m in the “Happy Camper” category......so far. Now for the biggie. Fantastic mileage for a non-hybrid vehicle. In the summertime using AC I got 26/32 mpg. In the fall without AC I am getting 31/34 mpg and even averaged 34.9 mpg on a trip to Kansas City. Fantastic........knock on wood.

  • Honda of America could care less about you - 2017 Honda CR V

I purchased a CRV Touring in March. I selected the Honda over the RAV4, for the safety technology. On the first day of ownership, the "safety" systems failed (adaptive cruise control, crash mitigation, and lane departure) while driving down a country road. What happens, is that the warning lights start to go off, and then all of these systems are shut off until the car is turned off and restarted. This problem has occurred on country roads, in a major city, at highway speeds and on residential streets. I have had this failure at least once every week I have owned the CRV. Some weeks it has failed 5-6 times. The vehicle was serviced 3 times in the first 7 weeks of ownership, including 2 attempts by a Honda technician, but they were not able to determine the problem. The technician wants to blame the problem on country roads, even though the failures have happened in city traffic as well. I am now in mediation with Honda, but they wont replace the car. They want to buy my car back because they are concerned that another CRV will have the same problem. In other words, Honda doesnt have confidence that their "safety" systems will work in the country. My dealer has been great, but Honda of America customer service has been terrible. My mediation case manger doesnt call me back, or follow-up on anything she said she will do. Other than this issue, I really like the vehicle, but Honda has made it clear to me that they dont value their customers.

  • Sporty SUV - 2017 Honda CR V

We purchased our Honda CRV based on positive consumer reviews that we found on Edmunds. Our new SUV is so easy and safe to drive. You will not be disappointed with this vehicle. The only negative that we have found so far is the fuel economy. Honda lists 28 mpg city and 34 mpg highway, but we have been getting only 26 mpg combined city/highway.

  • A Lot of Bang for the Buck - 2017 Honda CR V

The 2017 CRV feels much bigger than my 2007, which is mostly due to the humps on the hood. Rear seats are much more comfortable than my 2007. Has many features that even Lexus, Audi & Acura do not have yet.

  • Love my CR-V - 2017 Honda CR V

Great value for the price. Very comfortable interior, smooth ride. Would love to have a better infotainment package available. Radio is better than in HR-V but still in my opinion a low level model with limited/inadequate features.

  • Too much road noise, NO CD PLAYER - 2017 Honda CR V

I never would have bought this vehicle if I knew it didnt have a CD player, which I use to listen to audio books. I retired after 32 years as a state police lieutenant. This car has WAY TOO MUCH ROAD NOISE. When you start going to larger wheels and tires, especially at highway speeds, you absolutely have to have superior insulation and probably add "touring" tires, with less roll resistance. I traded in a 2012 Chev Impala with 34K, since I had a state police 2006 take-home Impala, and both these cars were quiet. This car sounds like it has snow tires on it.

  • One awesome car! - 2017 Honda CR V

Easiest car ever in terms of driving around. Getting in and out, handling, safety. All great. Nothing bad to say at all, after one month of using it.

  • Happy at first !! - 2017 Honda CR V

This car DOES NOT allow the capability of audio gps reception from cell phone through the car audio speakers ! Only phone features can be received through the system ! That pisses me off because my 2015 CRV had ALL that ! I cannot drive AND read cell phone directions at the same time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • very good overall except for the seats - 2017 Honda CR V
    By -

I test drove a 2016 CRV and thought the driver seat was very comfortable but the ride wasnt so comfortable. Then I drove a 2017 CRV and thought the ride and quietness were better and I didnt really notice the seat. Driving around town the driver seat is ok, but when I drive out of town I get a low backache. Ive tried adjusting the seat several times, but it is too soft and non-supportive. I called Honda and told them. They said to get a seat cushion but didnt recommend any. It is a shame they put a lot of good stuff in this car but skimped on the seats. Also, there is no cd player but Im told that is the trend now. 11/12/17 It is still a very good car. Ive had no problems with it. My only complaints are the drivers seat is too soft and no cd player.
